This afternoon, LloydMartin owner Sam Crannell posted this photo of a veritable rainbow of chewed-up gum wads recently scraped off the underside of the bar at his Queen Anne restaurant (which, might I add, is a terrific place to eat dinner).

People sticking their ABC gum up in places isn't exactly shocking behavior. Hell, we built an entire chewed-up landmark out of this concept. But LloydMartin's problem is particularly shameful because, by law, anyone dining here is 21 or older. Every spittle-coated blob of wintergreen-extremeberry in the photo above was stuck beneath the bar by a grown-ass man or woman. 

On the plus side: It makes those people who ask to charge their cellphones at a restaurant seem downright courteous.
