It’s never too early to start thinking about dinner. Eastsiders have a new option: yesterday, January 7, local mini-chain Tutta Bella opened its first Bellevue location at the Crossroads Mall, 156th Avenue NE and NE 8th Street.

Owner Joe Fugere opened his first certified authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant in Seattle 10 years ago. The Bellevue location will be a slight departure: it’s the largest location, some 7,000 square feet with 300 seats, and features an all-weather patio, plus two wired private dining rooms that are sure to be a draw with the Microsofties nearby, particularly when lunch service starts in February.

And alongside Tutta Bella’s signature pies, Bellevue’s menu has a selection of Italian fritti—yay, deep fryers!—like fried burrata and fritto misto. What goes best with fried foods? Booze. The expanded bar program of craft cocktails and 10 taps should suffice.
