Cooking Class with Anne Haerle: Super Natural Every Day
In the last Book Larder event of March, wellness chef Anne Haerle will make healthy gourmet dishes from Heidi Swanson's acclaimed cookbook, Super National Every Day. For $60 enjoy black sesame otsu with tofu and soba noodles and green lentil soup with curry and coconut milk, among other dishes, from 6:30 to 9.

Modern Easter Dinner Class
Put a modern spin on the traditional Easter feast with chef Jennifer Gardiner, founder of De La Ferme Catering. While learning about sourcing and different cuts of meat, sample fresh ham with cracklings and pan gravy and Yukon gold and winter squash gratin dauphinois. Carrot pudding soufflés with buttered spring vegetables and Easter grain and ricotta pie are for dessert. This class is from 6 to 10 for $75.

Spring Vegetarian Dinner at The Corson Building
Matt Dillon's Georgetown establishment hosts a three-course meal starring spring vegetables. The cost is $35 per person and reservations are available from 6 to 10.

Neighborhood establishments including Blind Pig Bistro, Cicchetti, Sushi Kappo Tamura, Little Water Cantina, and Ravish are banding together for an evening of food and beverages at the Tyee Yacht Club from 6 to 9. Buy tickets here ($30).

Washington Cask Beer Festival
It's time again for Washington Brewers Guild's beer-soaked bacchanalia featuring more than 90 cask-conditioned brews from around the state. The $45 admission ($40 for advanced tickets) includes a commemorative tasting glass and up to 25 sample tastes.

The Mixology Matchup
Bathtub Gin, Knee High Stocking, RN74, and Sun Liquor will compete in this cocktail competition benefitting the Whole Planet Foundation and put on by Whole Foods. Take in live performances, global bites, Dry Soda mocktails, and raffle prizes at the Ballard Elks Lounge beginning at 7. A $25 (cash only) donation is suggested; RSVP here.

Vinum Importing’s Cocktail Competition: Put a Bird on It
To kick off April, join Vinum Importing for its monthly cocktail competition at Vessel. This month's theme: "Put a bird on it," featuring drinks with an egg or egg parts. Contestants will be judged on taste, mixology, and bartending skills for a $100 first place prize.
