Three weeks from tonight, Bravo unleashes its tenth season of Top Chef, a Seattle-set spectacle of salmon, sweeping Space Needle panoramas, and binders full of posturing chef contestants. And are you really going to watch all this alone on your couch? In your sweatpants? Drinking Quickfire wine? With no one within earshot to discuss Padma’s outfits? No way.
In between coauthoring a cookbook and planning four new restaurants and a falafel cafe, Tom Douglas appeared as a judge this season. His staff is also crazy organized when it comes to planning a viewing party for the November 7 season premiere. T-Doug and fellow chef/radio host/conspirator Thierry Rautureau will be holding court at the Palace Ballroom for the occasion.
The soiree starts at 9pm, which means you have an hour to settle in amongst the four giant screens before the show begins. The $20 tickets (get them here) include a glass of wine and bites from previous Top Chef seasons. It must be said: Hopefully nobody steals the pea puree.
Meanwhile, these video previews and this inside look at the filming can help tide you over until November 7.
