Where to Celebrate the Fremont Fair

Skip the beer gardens and head for these spots offering solstice specials.

Naked cycling not your thing? You can still partake in the fun at one of these fine establishments.

Dubliner
The Irish pub celebrates with shots of Fireball Whisky and Jäger all day Saturday, but be sure not to miss the raffle from 6–8. The prize? The bar’s Jäger dispenser.

Hunger
Enjoy extended happy hour at the bar or on the patio all weekend from 3–6 and 10–2am. For $5 try the Bear Hunter (a can of Hamm’s and a shot of Bulleit bourbon). Every food or drink purchase gets you entered into a raffle; prizes include gift certificates and a chef’s counter dinner for two (but alas, no Jäger machine).

Le Bon Ton Roulé
The New Orleans joint is roasting several pigs on the 16th—one at 11:30, the other around 6—plus hosting a New Orleans–style DJ from 4pm till close.

Backdoor at Roxy’s
Head to a post-parade barbecue starting at 1 in the parking lot of this speakeasy-style bar. Those looking to take a seat can head inside for cocktails and more barbecue; food is priced a la carte.

George and Dragon
The British pub promises an all-day party with DJs, an outdoor beer garden, and, according to one bartender, "Hopefully not too many naked people"—but don’t let that deter you. Festivities get under way at 10:30 on Saturday.
