Urban Nomad Now Serving Pasta in South Lake Union

After a series of test runs late last week, Urban Nomad, the pasta-slinging food truck from the Urban Cafe folks, is officially doing business.
"We will be in South Lake Union in the alley at 1122 Harrison Street all this week while we await final city approval of our regular spots," says co-owner Bruce Pinkerton, who will oversee operations at the cafe while cohort Barry Baxter captains the truck.
Running the kitchen is Simon Pantet. His pedigree bodes well for the menu of fresh rigatoni, gnocchetti, and radiatore: Before Nomad he was sous chef at Ethan Stowell pasta house Tavolàta. Other experience includes Madrona Ale House and 22, and Top Chef geeks may remember Pantet from his brief run on season nine (aka the Seattle bloodbath).
In past conversations Pinkerton has mentioned SoDo, Fremont, and the Starbucks HQ as other possible stops—though he may want to watch what he pours at the latter.
