Stalking Top Chef

Top Chef Judges Dine at Walrus and the Carpenter

Tom, Padma, Gail, and Emeril are apparently living it up in Seattle this week.

Will the Top Chef judges don fishermen’s gear for Top Chef Seattle promos? Or dress up like 90s grunge caricatures? The man does look good in plaid (plus he already has that soul patch). Photo via Bravo.

Okay, at some point we’re all going to tire of freaking out every time we hear of a Top Chef sighting, but we haven’t quite reached that point quite yet.

Recently I asked, semijokingly, to give us a shout if you see Tom Colicchio waiting for a table outside Walrus and the Carpenter. Last night a Nosh tipster informed us that the bald-headed, straight-talking, Diet Coke–endorsing chef did indeed dine at Walrus, along with fellow judges Gail Simmons and Emeril Lagasse (maybe Padma was at Dick’s?). Hopefully Simmons didn’t have too many drinks at Canon earlier in the night.

The choice of restaurant should be no surprise, since every food writer who visits Seattle reliably (and rightfully) freaks out about Renee Erickson’s oyster bar.

Oh, and it sounds like the Redmond location of Whole Foods might be the place to go for some shameless film crew stalking.
