Robbie McGrath is a bartender in the grand tradition. He tells stories. Cracks jokes. And has an undisputed signature drink.
A Minnesota native, McGrath went on to open three restaurants in downstate Illinois in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, all named Robbie’s. McGrath, however, has moved on: “I came out here 10 years ago to visit my sister and moved here six weeks later.”For the past five years...
