Green Leaf banh xeo are coming to Belltown.

Green Leaf, esteemed by many as one of—if not the—best Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle, is planning to open a second location near Olympic Sculpture Park.

Ridgley Kuang, who owns the restaurant along with members of his family, says a remodel is underway at 2800 First Avenue, site of the expansion. “We are expecting it will open for business in two or three months,” he adds.

Green Leaf opened in the ID in December of 2005 and promptly drew crowds with delectable phos, vermicelli bowls, and banh xeo, or rice-flour pancakes. Fun fact: in a recent Seattle Met poll, local chefs said Green Leaf was among the restaurants they most admire in the city.
