I just spoke briefly with a representative of the Beer Junction in West Seattle who confirmed the store is moving from its current location at 4707 42nd Avenue SW to 4511 California Avenue SW, near the intersection of California and SW Oregon Street—this was the former home of the Electric Train Shop, which moved to Burien this spring.

The reason for the move, the rep told me, is that there are plans to tear down the 42nd Ave building.

The store, which sells more than 1,000 types of beer, opened in July 2010. No word yet on when the move will take place but I’ll get that as soon as I can.
