One Night Only: The Love of Beer premier in Portland

A documentary about women in PNW beer screens this Saturday at the Baghdad. Go!

July 20, 2011

Look, most of the good bartenders in town will be in New Orleans all week for Tales of the Cocktail, might as well take a summer road trip down to ole Stumptown. Here’s why:

This Saturday, August 20 filmmaker Alison Grayson will be at Portland’s Baghdad Theater to premier her documentary The Love of Beer. The film stars two Pacific Northwest women in the beer industry: Sarah Pederson, owner of Saraveza Bottle Shop, and Tonya Cornett, brewmaster at Bend Brewing.

The evening starts with a meet-and-greet at 7:30, which is followed by a roundtable discussion. The screening begins at 9pm.

The event costs $5 ($6 at the door) and pints will be $3 in honor of the occasion.

Below please find a trailer for the movie.
