As you may or may not know, July isn’t just for feting American independence. It’s also a time to celebrate one of our greatest culinary traditions: ice cream.

Yeah, let’s, but first: Ice cream is somewhat of an obsession here in Seattle, consequently there’s no shortage of spots to get your licks. To help you plot your course for the month, we mapped 20-plus favorite ice cream purveyors. Included are the local guys with a few mobile vendors and gelato spots thrown in for good measure.
