A June opening was hoped for, but it seems Li’l Woody’s, the much-anticipated burger and shake spot from Marcus Lalario, won’t be serving up burgers until “early or mid-July.” The news comes by way of the restaurant’s Twitter account.

Speaking of Capitol Hill and burgers, I checked in with Blue Moon Burgers’ Charlie Olson. He’s planning his third burger restaurant on the retail level of Broadway’s Joule Building, and is currently awaiting his tenant build-out permit. Once he gets that, says Olson, he should be ready to open within three weeks. Olson says his contractor is on call and all of his materials are sitting in storage. His permit is due to him from the city on Tuesday, June 14. “Allegedly!” he laughs. If that happens, we could see an open Blue Moon on Broadway as early as July 5.
