Little Spinasse is all grown up: the Piedmont-focused Capitol Hill restaurant has been undergoing an expansion, and tonight, Friday, May 27, it will serve guests in the new space for the first time.
The project also involved building an Italian aperitivo bar next door called Artusi. The deal there will be less expensive, more casual food from all over Italy. Its opening is slated for early June.
Executive chef Jason Stratton will be in charge of food at both places.
At new Spinasse, the pasta-making skills of pastaiolo Victor Ramos will be showcased inside a glassed-in pasta-making station; the bar has been expanded so that more guests can sit and watch the magic happen.
