Our new Best Bars feature, which focuses on 25 of our city’s best cocktail bars, is now out.

But more on all that later.

Right now I just want to point you towards this set of videos featuring six of Seattle’s most awesome lady bartenders, shot by our video intern Joshua Guerci (contributor Hilary Meyerson did the interviewing).

While I can claim no part in the production of the videos, I can say that the idea came out of an idea I had for the feature itself: to shine the spotlight on some of the very good women bartenders mixing up drinks around Seattle.

Besides the six in the short films, there is Anna Harlow at Walrus and the Carpenter; Maggie Savarino—now writing a book about cocktails and doing all matter of whatnot over at Madison Park Conservatory; "cocktail chef" Cameo McRoberts; queen bee Kathy Casey; plus all sorts of other women I’m neglecting to mention here.
