Christmas Eve is not a typical night on the town, but it does fall on a Friday this year. This Friday, as a matter of fact.

All of Ethan Stowell’s restaurants, including Belltown’s Tavolata and his effervescent new multi-plate sensation Staple & Fancy Mercantile, will offer regular dinner service from 5pm to 9pm.

Olivar, the pretty Mediterranean bistro across from the Harvard Exit on North Capitol Hill, is doing a special Christmas Eve 3-course menu for $45.

And, again with the Spanish, Taberna del Alabardero in Belltown will offer the same $55 four-course Spanish spread December 24 that it will do on Christmas day, including your choice of main: sea bream, lamb brochettes, or lobster paella. (Get the paella.)
