As promised, we have more details on Lick in the pipeline, but until then get your food truck fix by reading up on Pai’s.

Both CHS and Seattlest have info on the new curb slinger, which took to the streets earlier this week. The Thai-Hawaiian truck specializes in the cross-cultural plate lunch, an island mainstay that traditionally consists of rice, a protein, and some sort of side, often a mayonnaise-laden macaroni salad. Obama is a big fan.

Other menu items include pork sliders, “Thaifu” (tofu in sweet-savory sauce), and island-inspired Korean short ribs. For sides you’ve got papaya salad, Hawaiian slaw, and kimchi. Banana chocolate wontons and Thai pork patties are among the specials that have been mentioned.

Here’s where you can find Pai’s on Tuesday and Thursday.
