It’s a Boy! It’s a Girl! It’s—Hallelujah—a Glass of Wine!

What’s up, moms to be? I’ve got some good news. A new study—and not one of those joker studies that we media types are always quoting, but a real-deal Journal of Epidemiological and Community Health study—finds a couple of drinks a week won’t harm the wee ones.
In fact, the kids of light-drinking moms seemed to fare better than the offspring of teetotalers.
From Bloomberg News:
"…children of mothers who were light drinkers were 30 percent less likely to have behavioral problems, and these children achieved higher cognitive scores than those whose mothers didn’t drink during pregnancy, the researchers found."
When can we stop doing studies and just conclude that the French—most of whom would never give up wine for a little thing like a pregnancy—are right about everything (except how to make pop music)?
