Couple of things for wine folks this weekend:

First, Pike and Western is hosting a free oysters and muscadet (a white wine from the Western Loire Valley in France that’s traditionally paired with oysters) tasting on Saturday, September 11 from 3 to 5pm. Farmers from Hama Hama and Emerald Acres Oyster will be shucking the bivalves.

Wines featured will be:
2009 Domaine de la Quilla Sevre st Maine sur lie,
2009 Domaine Les Hautes Noelles Cotes de Grandlieu, and
2008 Luneau Papin Clos des Allees Vielles Vigne Sevre et Maine sur lie.

Second, Blend is this Sunday, September 12 at the Bell Harbor Conference Center,and you can get tickets for $29 on Groupon.
