Grand Central Bakery is opening a third Seattle storefront at 626 SW
132 152 Street in Burien. GCB partner Gabrielle Moorhead says the artisanal bake shop should be ready for business the first week of August.
Why Burien? For one, grocers in the area currently do not carry Grand Central goods (they’re readily available elsewhere), so the new hub will provide southern Seattleites with easier access. Burien is also burgeoning, Moorhead said, adding its strong sense of community and family is a real draw.
As for the bakery’s interior, expect plenty of exposed beams, communal tables, and reclaimed wood—Grand Central is aiming for "as green of a space as possible."
