This Thursday, Sept 17, five of Pacific Place’s chefs will compete to see who can make the best dish out of one of the Northwest’s autumn staples…butternut squash.

Who? Chefs from Gordon Biersch, Il Fornaio, Mexico, Pike Place Chowder and Thai Ginger. Judging the Battle of the Butternut will be foodie celebs to include Kerry Sear, exec chef of Art Restaurant, and Craig Hetherington, exec chef of Taste. The ubiquitous John Curley will host.

Who will win? Well…you, perhaps. Curley will pose food-related trivia questions to the audience for prizes, Pacific Place will have a drawing for a weekend stay at the Westin, and chefs will pass around samples of their nibbles.

The All For Fall Gourmet Taste-Off takes place 4:30 to 6 pm on Thursday, September 17th in the Pacific Place Atrium on Level 1.
