It’s a Great Year for Cherries…

…and here’s where to find ’em

By Kathryn Robinson July 1, 2009

They’re calling it the best season for Northwest cherries in years. So dozens of local restaurants are building sweet and savory dishes (and drinks) around them—starting today.

At Art at the Four Seasons you can order duck breast with Bing cherry spoon bread; at Nell’s a Valrhona chocolate and Bing cherry tart with cherry Port syrup.

Go to Pomegranate Bistro for a bowl of Northwest Bing cherry gazpacho; Pearl for a broiled duck breast with Washington cherry demiglaze and golden vegetable hash; Serious Pie for a pizza with roasted Bings, burrata cheese, arugula, and cherry vinegar.

Or head to one of the Seastars a cocktail made of Luksusowa vodka, Kirschwasser, and muddled Rainier cherries.
