The Alibi Room is now serving a happy hour lunch with $3 drafts, $4 wells, and $5 food items including two of my favorite Alibi menu items: a mini version of the spicy mac, and the apple, brie and honey plate. The best news: “lunch” goes from 11:30am to 6pm every day of the freaking week. Shhh. Don’t tell the tourists.

Kafé Neo at the Mill Creek town center is now doing the dog thing: canines are welcome on the patio from 3-6pm every Tuesday (beginning July 17th) while their owners enjoy HH discounts on apps, wine, and cocktails (from $3-$6). Per the press release the Kafé will provide “baked doggy treats and strategically placed patio water bowls” as well.

Dear Capitol Hill bars: please to follow suit. The happy hour dreams of we pet owners are forever being crushed by our guilt-induced need to go home to the dog. Can’t you help us live the dream of having our pups and drinking too?

Finally, last week The Tin Table added a second, late-night happy hour to its program. HH will now be served from 11pm-1am as well as from 3pm-6pm. Another good spot for late-night eating on the Hill.

It’s like we’re living in a real city here, people. Albeit one going through some dicey financial times.
