And Since We’re on the Subject of Street Food…Three Cheers for Tacos El Asadero

Could their mulitas be any better?

By Kathryn Robinson June 18, 2009

Best buck-fifty dinner in town has got to be the fried mulita from Columbia City’s Tacos El Asadero, otherwise known as “the taco truck with the spinning counter seats.”

Or, “the taco truck with the real Mexican coke.” Mmmm. Azucar.

Or, “the taco truck with the perfect mulita.” That’d be two corn tortillas stuffed with pork carnitas, onions, cilantro, and cheese. Fried on the slick grill until crisped and carmelized on the exterior, with just enough grease to bring you to your knees—and, just when you thought it was perfect enough, a single slice of avocado.

Mercy, it’s good.
