Food Lust 2009

Dining down on the farm

By Kathryn Robinson June 2, 2009

The theme is “down-on-the-farm formal” at Cascade Harvest Coalition’s fourth annual Food Lust gala on Saturday, June 6.

Some of the region’s premiere chefs and wine makers will prepare a feast at Fall City Farms, about 30 miles east of Seattle, to benefit local farmers. Guests will enjoy award-winning Washington wines (Lopez Island Winery, Hoodsport Winery, and Perennial Vintners) and a three-course meal prepared by chefs from restaurants including Brasa, Matt’s in the Market, Taste, and Stumbling Goat.

There’ll be musical entertainment by Cuban band SuperSones, as well as silent and live auctions. All proceeds go to the Cascade Harvest Coalition, which collaborates with farmers, governments, and consumers to promote sustainable agriculture for Washington State.

Happens this Saturday, June 6 at 5pm (apps and silent auction) with dinner and entertainment at
6:45. Tickets are $85 a head.
