Erik Carlson Crafts New Cocktail Menu for Macleod’s

Erik Carlson does cocktails for Macleod’s.
Today Macleod’s Scottish Pub rolls out a fresh sheet of cocktails. Normally such tidings may fly unnoticed, but this one comes at the hand of Erik Carlson. The man has been known to raise drinks programs to superlative status, just as he did at Moshi Moshi Sushi, and then at Bastille.
Carlson is currently the bar manager there (Bastille and Macleod’s, both on Ballard Ave, are owned by James Weimann and Deming Maclise), but occasionally he will wander down the street to make these new cocktails. Per a release, the menu is mostly original concoctions with a few classics. Yes, the ice comes from a Kold Draft machine, and naturally scotch is the central spirit. (Sorry, no mention of that stellar Bloody Mary.) Carlson will also consult on weekly drink specials and seasonal menu changes, and assist with staff training.
Look for Carlson at MacLeod’s every other Tuesday between 4 and 10pm (but heads up, that schedule may change come fall).
