The new series features mobile vendors throughout North American.

Veraci pizza.

Before it was brick-and-mortar on NW Market Street, Ballard’s Veraci made a name for itself at the neighborhood’s farmers mart. There, each and every week, Marshall Jett and Errin Byrd would set up a mobile oven crackling with the seriously scant crusts of lightly layered pizza.

On Sundays you’ll still find the portable pie slinger curbside in Ballard, and throughout the city the remainder of the week. Other ovens are popping up across state lines—the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area, Bend, and Portland have fallen under the Veraci purview—and now, word of the enterprise is even hopping the border.

This coming Sunday Veraci is donning the celeb suit for a new Food Network Canada series titled Eat St., an homage to food vendors across the continent (It was recently making the rounds in Stumptown.) From 11:30am-2:30pm a crew will collect footage of Veraci working the crowds at the Ballard Farmers Market.

If you’d like to profess your love of Veraci to the whole wide Canadian world, swing by—producers are looking to interview diehards.
