In cities most affected by COVID-19, digital performances are popping up in lieu of standard programming. The Seattle Symphony announced last week it would be streaming performances from its musicians and offering previously recorded concerts for free (the first ran on Thursday).
Now local arts organization Artist Home, which runs events such as Timber! Outdoor Music Festival, has posted a Virtual Concert Calendar, where performers like Hollis Wong-Wear (tonight, with donations!) and Julia Francis (March 19) have announced virtual shows. Among the first is The Artist Home: Songs of Hope and Healing Series #1. It starts at 10am tomorrow, March 17, and runs until 10pm on Artist Home's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Each hour the organization will post a surprise performance from an artist who's lost pay from COVID-19, or who is donating a performance to help others. There'll be links—to Venmo, Paypal, merchandise—so you can support not only with attention but money.
