Seattle has long been a haven for self-described nerds, so it makes sense that the city is home to one of the country’s largest pop culture conventions. For 16 years Emerald City Comic Con has drawn artists, sci-fi celebs, and cosplaying superheroes together for a weekend of ultimate geekery: panels on ethics in comics, photo ops with actors from your favorite shows (Hi, Barb from Stranger Things), and several floors of fantasy ephemera.
