It wasn't so long ago when bearded folk rock dudes dominated the Seattle music scene. While that niche that sprung up in a big way almost a decade ago has faded in its local prevalence, two of the three biggest acts to emerge from that Seattle sect (Fleet Foxes being the third) have scheduled return dates at the Paramount Theatre.
Last week, the the Head and the Heart released "All We Ever Knew," the sunny first single from its upcoming third album, Signs of Light (which hits stores September 9). The band won't just be touring in support of the new record when it stops at the Paramount on November 6, it'll also be giving it away. All tickets purchased include a copy of Signs of Light. Tickets for the Head and the Heart go on sale this Friday, June 10 at 10am via ticketmaster.com and cost $40.
While Band of Horses has since relocated to South Carolina, singer-songwriter Ben Bridwell brought the acclaimed rock group up through the Seattle scene. The fifth Band of Horses studio album, Why Are You OK (executive produced by Rick Rubin), arrives this Friday, June 10. Bridwell returns to his old stomping grounds when Band of Horses plays the Paramount on August 18. Tickets for Band of Horses go on sale this Saturday, June 11 at 10am via stgpresents.org and cost $36.
