U.S. Gymnastics Team Vaults into Seattle

The 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning squad takes a victory lap.

While watching excessive amounts of NBC's Olympic gymnastics coverage, two have things stood out.

1) The pommel horse is really, really stupid.

2) The U.S. women's gymnastics team has been crushing it over in London.

The ladies squad won gold easily in the team competition, Gabby Douglas captured the all-around gold, and the various squad members have been shining in the individual event finals. (SPOILER ALERT: More medals are on the way "tonight." Don't blame me, blame NBC.)

So now seems like the perfect time to remind Seattleites that they can catch London's golden girls (and other U.S. gymnasts) on their victory lap when Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions comes to KeyArena on September 23. The tour features the entire 2012 women's gold medal team, 2008's all-around gold medalist Nastia Liukin, members of the U.S. men's Olympic team (Jonathan Horton, John Orozco, and Jake Dalton), and competitors from rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline. Enjoy the dazzling athleticism (and some hoop dance routines) without the nerve-wracking pressure of having a half-step on a landing lead to a tear-soaked breakdown.
