Awards and Accolades

Nominate Your Favorite Nonprofit for a Light a Fire Award

Seattle Met wants to honor the city’s nonprofit all-stars.

By Sarah Gambles July 10, 2012

Seattle Met magazine wants to hear from you.

As we noted over on PubliCola: We’re looking for outstanding local nonprofit organizations and exceptional staffers at nonprofits. It’s usually the big donors who get recognized at the fancy dinners, and rightfully so. But we’re looking for the people who are in the trenches every day, dedicating their lives to improving the lot of others. We want to give them a fancy dinner of their own.

So you know all those arts organizations that make our city a fun, vibrant place to live? Go to Light a Fire Awards to nominate your favorites. The deadline is July 16. Updated 7/13/12. The deadline has been extended to July 30.
