Soak up the sun at Olympic Sculpture Park this summer.

From the Summer 2012 Outdoor Events Guide:

During the city’s drearier months, Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park becomes something of an afterthought. That’s why the people at SAM want art lovers to "Get Out!" and see it now that the weather’s warmer. SAM’s summer series features family-friendly programming at the park on Thursdays and Saturdays. To kick things off, SAM will host a Brazilian party this Thursday at OSP, with live music by Eduardo Mendonça’s Show Brazil and VamoLa Drum and Dance Ensemble, food trucks (updated 7/11/12: I Want Curry Now, Fusion on the Run), and plenty of wine (right around happy hour). In addition to dancing the samba, visitors can check out the two temporary exhibits currently on display at the Paccar Pavilion: Sandra Cinto’s Encontro das Águas (Encounter of Waters), a massive wall-length mural of a tempest (on display through April 14, 2013), and Sarah Bergmann’s new Portal to the Pollinator Pathway (on display through August 31). Portal mixes ecology and aesthetics with a small garden of plants that attract birds, bees, and butterflies; it’s one of many "planting strips" that make up the Pollinator Pathway, which ends with a mile of gardens along Columbia Avenue.
