Capitol Hill Block Party Announces New Additions

Soul king Allen Stone is among the additions to Capitol Hill Block Party’s lineup.
Excellent locals ahoy! Allen Stone, Beat Connection, Don’t Talk to the Cops, Gold Leaves, Reignwolf, and more have been added to the Capitol Hill Block Party lineup. The day-by-day lineups and set times are now up on CHBP’s site.

In addition to fleshing out the lineup, Capitol Hill Block Party has also announced some intriguing new programming additions to the festival:
-For the first time, people can experience CHBP from the comfort of their own homes. The festival will be streaming select live performances online for free. Chase Jarvis, host of the variety webseries Chase Jarvis Live, will fill the Seacrestian role of hosting the online content.
-Don’t post that awesome clip to YouTube—save it. CHBP is teaming up with Seattle International Film Festival to present The Totally Stacked! Video Contest. Local directors can submit a video about Seattle culture that clocks in between 30 seconds and two minutes to get the chance to win a prize pack including $1,000 year-round SIFF passes, their video displayed all year at SIFF Cinema, and more. -Those tired of watching sweaty dudes and ladies flail around on stage can tun their eyes to the art spread around the festival grounds. Ghost Gallery’s Laurie Kearney will be curating a collection of multimedia works by local and regional artists during CHBP.
-Decibel Festival will curate a dance-filled after-party at Neumos on Friday until 3am featuring a live performance by Miracles Club and DJ sets by Justin V of !!! and Nordic Soul.
-KEXP will broadcast live from Barboza on Saturday and Sunday. The station will feature live on-air performances by some of the festival’s acts. No specific artists have been confirmed yet.
-Cupcake Royale will host a family event on Sunday from 10am till noon. The festivities will include a performance by Caspar Babypants and free treats (ice cream and lemonade).
-For those needing a little detox after partying Friday night, the Sweat Box will host a free yoga class on Saturday at the Block Party’s main stage.
