Ravenleaf, much like its name, is a mashup. It’s an American gastropub, sure—but with a decidedly Seattle menu. Per pub canon, there’s no shortage of beer, all of which are brewed in the Pacific Northwest, and tables are constructed from repurposed Boeing shipping crates. Because Seattle.

This neighborhood pub/portmanteau located between Ravenna and Maple Leaf officially opens tomorrow, July 26.

The menu includes smaller bar snacks like white truffle popcorn and house-dried beef jerky and appetizers such as house-smoked pulled chicken poutine and the ever-trending poké, here made with salmon. For the more classic-leaning pub fare: ribeye steak frites with garlic butter and a Ravenleaf burger with Beecher’s cheddar being the curd of choice. Also: a curried cauliflower burger and a smoked game hen with raspberry barbecue glaze.

To drink, there are plenty of beers and ciders from the likes of nearby Naked City Brewery, Holy Mountain Brewing, Boundary Bay, and about a dozen more. But there’s also a rainbow of wines and cocktails made with local booze like Captive Spirits Big Gin, Woodinville Rye, Counter Gin from Batch 206, and more. For those with a totally respectable desire to try all of the alcohol, sip on beer, wine, spirits, or all three from the flights menu.

Besides the tables made from former Boeing shipping crates, there’s a full bar, and out back you’ll find a large patio that seats over 40 people. Best head here before this Seattle summer ghosts on us.

Ravenleaf (residing at 8014 15th Avenue Northeast) is open at 3 Tuesday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 on Sunday. For more details and updates, like a forthcoming brunch menu, see the Ravenleaf website and Facebook page.
