The anthology True Seattle Stories features the best long-form narratives from the magazine's first 10 years.

You may have heard that Seattle Met recently marked its 10-year anniversary. We celebrated. We produced a giant cover story dedicated to some of the most significant years in the city's history. And, finally, we compiled the best stories in the magazine’s history: True Seattle Stories: A Decade of Storytelling from Seattle Met Magazine.

It’s our first eBook, and in it you’ll find us doing what we do best. Starting with Allecia Vermillion’s riveting James Beard Foundation Award-nominated profile of a chef turned bank robber, “The Brief Extraordinary Life of Cody Spafford,” most of the stories in this collection have either won or been finalists for national awards, appeared on highly selective sites like Longform and Longreads—or all of the above. Taken together they help tell the story of this city: triumphant innovations, hot headed politicians, love and loss, social justice, and intimate looks at promising Seattleites we lost too soon.

Got it? Here’s what you do next: Download the free Seattle Met app on your tablet or smart phone; find True Seattle Stories in the app’s library; and click “buy” to purchase the eBook (for $1.99).

And that’s it! We hope you’ll enjoy what we believe are our best stories. We’d love to hear what you think. And happy reading!
