Seattle 2035: Discussing our Growing City
The Seattle Department of Planning and Development is looking for input on how best to grow the city in the next two decades.
Seattle 2035 has developed three plans to manage the 70,000 new households and 115,000 new jobs that the Growth Management Planning Council of King County has projected will arrive in Seattle by their namesake date, and will be discussing them at length tonight and tomorrow in the final two open houses before the April 21 deadline for public comments. The plans—one focused on urban centers, one on urban villages, and the third on transit routes—directly impact the allocation of funding to city neighborhoods in the next 20 years.

Phone Bank to Stop Bus Cuts
Supporters of Proposition 1, endorsed last week by the lefty homeless advocates at Real Change, are seeking extra ears to work the phones and save buses and roads around the city. Any prospective helpers need only RSVP and appear to earn a workspace complete with a desk, phone, and a long list of numbers.
