Rock the Bike
Sing karaoke and contribue to an organization that promotes sustainability and youth empowerment.
Bike Works teaches people how to ride and care for bicycles with Earn-a-Bike classes and summer camps for kids, and riding classes and repair workshops for adults. Come to a karaoke night and raffle to help get more people out in the city on two wheels.
Get your Freddy Mercury on, donate some money, and maybe win a prize for best performance.
Rock the Bike, Sat, January 18, signups begin at 8pm, karaoke starts at 9:30pm, Columbia City Theater, 4916 Rainier Ave S, $10 donation suggested.
Eat for Equity
Eat for Equity—an organization that raises money for causes such as health, disaster relief, education, development, and the environment—is hosting a dinner to support the ROOTS Young Adult Shelter.
Located in the U-District, ROOTS offers shelter and food for Seattle's far-too-many homeless youth.
