THURSDAY, October 31

Airways Brewing Company’s Sky Hag IPA Birthday Bash
The anniversary of the Kent brewery's most popular beer falls on Halloween. Which means things are about to get a little crazy. Come to this 21+ party anytime between 3-10 for continuous beer flows of Sky Hag IPA on cask and Ol' Wooden Hag, the same IPA aged on toasted oak. Plus, tacos from Contigo and assorted Halloween festivities. Yes, there will be a costume contest – a Sky Hag costume contest.

Canterbury’s Final Halloween
Hear ye, hear ye, it is time to wish this Cap Hill alehouse a final farewell at the 37th all Hallow’s Eve. Help the crew go out with a bang via some drink specials.

FRIDAY, November 1

Matador’s Dia de los Muertos
Local tattoo artists are showing off their skills by painting longhorn skulls with Dias de los Muertos-inspired designs. The painted skulls will be auctioned off in a silent auction at both Matador locations in West Seattle and Ballard. There will also be food and drink specials. Me gusta.  

Harvest and Tide Party at Vif
Lauren Feldman and Shawn Mead formerly of Café Campagne invite you to the official opening of their wine bar in Fremont. Come to the first annual harvest and tide party between 5-9, to try a variety of wines. Giant bonus: Renee Erickson's Narwhal truck will be there.

SATURDAY, November 2

Day of the Dead at Poquitos
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Poquitos at the Day of the Dead party at 7. Makeup artist Lars Laduke will be there to transform faces into sugar skulls. Festivities also include treats on the decorated patio, a Usnap photo booth, and margaritas…lots of margaritas. And the best part? There is no entry fee for this 21+ party.

Two Beers Brewing's Sixth Anniversary Party
This is a big week for brewery anniversaries. SoDo's Two Beers Brewing is celebrating six years with a big party and two new beer releases. Festivities run from 2 to 7 at the brewery's tasting room; come by to get acquainted with the new Sixth Anniversary IPL (that would be a hoppy India Pale Lager) and Overhang Bourbon-Aged Imperial Porter, the latest, and last, if the brewery's special Alta series. The day also includes plenty of other beers, an appearance by Where Ya At Matt food truck, a look at the brewery's new branding, and live music.

Elliott’s Oyster New Year Bash: SOLD OUT
In a giant tent on the pier, come to Elliott’s Oyster New Year Bash starting at 5. Try over 30 varieties of local oysters, feast on a seafood buffet, dance to live music, and drink some wine and beer. If that hasn’t sold you, should we mention the vodka ice luge? You heard right. Tickets start at $95 and proceeds benefit the Puget Sound Restoration Fund.

Kukuruza Gourmet Popcorn Discount
Since it’s this fancy popcorn’s 5-year anniversary, Kukuruza is giving everyone a 25 percent discount on items online and in store. Stop by the Ballard and Bellevue locations on this day to sample some kernels and enter a raffle for the chance to win a two-gallon popcorn tin.

SUNDAY, November 3

La Bête Dinner with Laila El-Haddad
Taylor Cheney and special guest Laila El-Haddad are hosting a dinner featuring gaza-inspired dishes at this Capitol Hill restaurant. El-Haddad, who was recently on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, will be joining Cheney to create a selection of recipes and items from her new cookbook, The Gaza Kitchen. This is a big deal. Shellfish Dinner at Tavolàta
Over at Ethan Stowell’s eldest restaurant, chef Brian Clevenger has a shellfish menu on deck for the next communal dinner. This $65 price tag gets you dinner served family-style with five kinds of shellfish including linguini with Manila clams and whole Dungeness crab. Tavolàta is limiting this party to 26 people, so make your reservations by calling 206-838-8008.

Halloweekend at Linda’s Tavern Halloween Hangover Brunch
Halloween isn’t over quite for Linda’s Tavern. Come to this Capitol Hill spot to receive 20% off of your brunch. But here’s the catch – you must be IN costume. Come on, it’s worth it.

Lamb Jam
Local chefs from restaurants including Shanik, Local 360, and Boka are coming together to show you how to prepare lamb of all cuts at The Foundry in SODO. Lamb Jam festivities kick off at 2 and include food from 16 chefs, libations, and lamb butchery demos. Tickets start at $60 and can be purchased online.   

MONDAY, November 4

Cognac at Le Zinc
Get acquainted with cognac via different styles from two small houses, Leopold Gourmel and Pierre Ferrand. A $40 ticket gets you a highly educational tasting, bites from the Capitol Hill bistro, and some cognac-centered creations by Le Zinc barman Andy McClellan. Drinking, er, education kicks off at 6pm. 


November 17: Pop-Up Preview of Brunswick and Hunt
Chef Jeffery Davidson and Barman Eric Holmquist are preparing a farm-to-table six-course meal paired with wine and cocktails to give everyone a sneak preview of their Ballard restaurant that is to open in early 2014. Courses include oysters and ham with cider mignonette and horseradish, double chocolate cake, and more, all accompanied with libations. Tickets are $90 and available online - they're going fast.
