General Manager Chris Erickson will personally make sure you get a workout in during vacation.

Here's one we haven't heard before: Portland's Heathman Hotel (sister property to one in Kirkland) is offering a "Run with the GM" package in which guests and locals can join General Manager Chris Erickson on his morning jog.
If you're particularly looking for face time with the hotel staff, the four-mile-ish excursions happen every Tuesday morning at 7am (oof). The big boss, a marathoner himself, wants to show off his favorite routes around downtown, and possibly guilt you into not ditching your workout routine during vacation (though isn't that what vaction is for?). After the run, a 12-ounce juice will be waiting in your room, and breakfast from a special Running Menu is on the house.
Each run has a theme; on one April Tuesday, Erickson led his running buddies on a tour of Portland joints with good happy hours (like Clyde Common, Andina, The Bent Brick), encouraging guests to come back in the evening, because why burn calories if you're not gonna splurge on a half-price appletini?
The activity is part of a $259 package that also includes a coupon to the Adidas Employee Store (not normally open to the public!) and 500 bonus frequent flyer miles on any of a number of airlines; $20 goes to One Fund Boston for marathon bombing victims. Just remember not to tell your new running buddy about how you stole a couple hotel towels before lacing up your sneakers.
