You have to walk 30 city blocks to work off each chocolate on Portland’s walking tour.

-Taste of Tulalip goes through Saturday at the Tulalip Resort Casino near Marysville, which means there’s still a chance to catch Top Chef personality Carla Hall and toss back samples from 65 Washington wineries. Day-of Grand Taste passes go on sale at 11:30am.

-Budding zookeepers flock to Point Defiance Zoo Career Day in Tacoma tomorrow, when students sixth grade and up get in free for behind-the-scenes tours, special animal presentations, and a chance to learn about the best-sounding jobs in the world.

-Cedar Mountain Botanicals offers its last soap-making class before Christmas. On Sunday, head up to the Skagit Valley for three hours of instruction on cold and hot processes for organic soap.

-Portland Walking Tours’ The Chocolate Decadence Tour guides visitors through two and a half hours of tasting (but merely a 1.5-mile walk) in downtown Rose City. The $59 outings are currently 15 percent off.

-Olympic Peninsula wineries host the Harvest Wine Tour through Sunday. With a $30 pass, enjoy wines, appetizers, and games at eight wineries from Port Townsend to Port Angeles, or pay just $5 at the individual tasting rooms. Proceeds support the Olympic Community Action Programs Emergency Services for low-income communities.
