Guests at Redmond-based Hopelink’s 19th annual Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon heard Green Bay Packers legend and Dancing with the Stars champion Donald Driver share his journey “from homeless to hero.” Driver, whose family struggled to get by when he was younger and for a short time lived in a U-Haul trailer, was introduced by Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider. The October 20 event at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center raised more than $940,000 to help local families in crisis become self-sufficient.
