The sun came out for the Seattle AIDS Walk on September 27! Over 2,000 people and 150 teams participated in the 5K run/walk at Volunteer Park. The event included a program with emcee Margaret Larson of KING-5, finish line announcements from the fabulous Mama Tits, and a bloody mary and mimosa party with music from C89.5. Thanks to Presenting Sponsor Swedish and supporting sponsors, participants, and volunteers, the event raised over $300,000 in support of Lifelong’s food, housing, and health services for people with chronic illnesses, including HIV/AIDS.
