Visit Seattle hosted its annual open house on May 8 to celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week. More than 500 tourism industry professionals attended the event. Local vendors featured food and beverages, games and event services to sample. Tourism is a major industry in Seattle and King County, attracting some 18 million overnight visitors each year and total visitor expenditures of $6 billion.
