Over 300 women leaders from philanthropy, business, media, academia, and the nonprofit sector gathered at the third annual Women in the World Breakfast, hosted by the Seattle International Foundation (SIF), to discuss the importance of investing in women and girls and celebrate Washington state’s commitment to global women’s issues. This year’s keynote was Dr. Claudia Paz y Paz, first female Attorney General of Guatemala. SIF awarded more than $250,000 to local organizations working to alleviate global poverty and improve the lives of women and girls.
