The W held one heck of a fashionable evening on Tuesday night, inviting curator Chiyo Ishikawa to the stage for Seattle's inaugural presentation of "What She Said," the hotel's series of guest speaker lectures to a first-come-first-serve ticketed public. Tuesday's event was all about Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style and Ishikawa went through her vision for the exhibit currently at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). From Yves Saint Laurent's life to how the exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum was designed, the lecture went into super-chic for the YSL super-fans in the audience. Covering 44 years of highlights (and a touch of the lows, given Saint Laurent's life), the exhibit hits on over 100 garments from YSL's couture and rive gauche collections as well as outstanding accessories, photos, illustrations and even film. Fashion and pop culture fans alike will fall in love with the thoughtful, glamorous, and absolutely detailed work Ishikawa and team put together at the museum.
And for the next What She Said, we're hoping to see more style, of course! Keep checking back here or on their specially tailored podcasts. Check out the absolutely inspiring YSL exhibit at SAM in the meantime.
