WHAT: Designed to celebrate and empower women with red hair, Rock It Like a Redhead is a fashion and beauty event by the ladies behind the popular lifestyle brand How To Be a Redhead. After experiencing the lack of options for redheaded girls at other fashion and beauty events, sister duo Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti decided to create an event where redheads could come and find suitable fashion and beauty advice.

Experts will be on hand to share tips and tricks ranging from maintaining hair color and dealing with sensitive skin to finding what colors suit your skin tone. There will also be brow consultations, complimentary blow outs, hair touch ups, and mini-manicures.

Enjoy fashion shows featuring local stores such as The Finerie and Endless Knot, as well as live music from fellow redheads Katrina Stone and Shayne Leighton. And last but not least, each guest will go home with a goodie bag with more than $300 worth of beauty products.

In the run-up to the event we asked the Adrienne and Stephanie to share some of their redhead beauty tips;

  • Whether natural or by choice, red hair is a bold statement and keeping it maintained is a necessity. All copper-haired beauties should use a color depositing shampoo and conditioner 1-2 times a week.
    Redhead friendly product recommendations: Davines Alchemic Shampoo and Conditioner in Copper or Red
  • Never cover the skin with too much makeup. Many redheads have blonde or sometimes white eyelashes and eyebrows. Use a great eyebrow product to shape the face and a brown or black mascara to bring out the hair.
    Redhead friendly product recommendations: Eve Organics Loose Foundation, CoverGirl Lash Blast in Brown or Black

  • Redheads have the most gorgeous skin. Keep care of it always. Take care of your skin by wearing all natural sunscreen daily and moisturizing frequently. Make sure to cleanse and tone morning and night.
    Redhead friendly product recommendations: MD Solar Sciences Sunscreen, Clinique Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Thesis Raw Argan Oil, Atzen Renew Facial Cleanser

  • No matter what, always have confidence and love who you are. It may sound cliche but you were born to stand out so embrace it.
