Here's how to concoct your signature spring scent—and maybe one for pops, too?

Sick of seeing your new (seemingly signature) fragrance pop up everywhere? Local scent spot Sweet Anthem Perfumes gives you the chance to mix up a perfume that's custom-made by you, for you.

The Make It and Take It event offers dozens of materials to create your unique Eau de Parfum or Perfume oil—you even get a custom label. Use the opportunity to get your dad a fresh scent in time for Father's Day, or take him with so you know he's picking one he'll actually wear.

The be-your-own-perfumer opportunities coincide with the introduction of the store's extended summer hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 6.

If you're one of the first five shoppers in the door June 3, during the start of the new hours, you'll get a sample bag of the Sweet Anthem's handmade summer scents. The change is to help shoppers better plan visits to peruse the store's own in-house line of vegan collections as well as those from independent, West-Coast perfumers like Yosh Han.

The DIY days run Tuesday, June 3 through Saturday, June 7 from 12 to 6.
