"I had a fair amount of wedding clients ask, 'Where should we have rehearsal dinner?' or 'What do we do to entertain our out-of-town guests?,'" says Shindig Events' Kelli Bielema, and that's why the seasoned wedding and events planner created the Wedding Party, coming soon—Thursday, April 24, that is—to a luxe limo and vintage car cave near you.
"I wanted to create a one-stop-shop event that gathered together those kinds of vendors that would answer those questions for everything that's not the actual wedding day, but all of the other pre-funk activities," Bielema added, but clearly she also wanted to have a party.
I asked her what kinds of things might go down at the British Motor Coach headquarters, things that a person just wouldn't encounter at an average wedding event.
"Male strippers and flip cup," she answered. "And that's only two. Lots of surprises and entertainment are on the docket."
So how are couples meant to take advantage of this pre-party planning party?
"Bring your best man, your future sister-in-law, bring your entire wedding party," says Bielema. "It's a night out to discover some unique offerings from local proprietors."
Okay, should couples maybe bring their wedding planner? "Yes, it would be a fun way to bond with one another in addition to taking care of business; you could select all your other vendors from our talent pool."
Should they bring their wedding party? "Absolutely!"
Should they arrange to have the next day off from work? "Without a doubt."
Go talk it over with your boss now, and then head to the Wedding Party ticket page to secure entry—or take your chances and enter our give away.
