It's not too early to begin thinking about your strategy for this annual shopping fundraiser.

WHAT: Time to plan your approach, the 11th annual YWCA Closet Treasures Sale will be here before your closet know what hit it. Boasting designer shoes, handbags, and clothing, shoppers can expect major savings on stockpiled consignment items. (Last year a friend of ours scored a Gucci sweater, pair of Ferragamo flats, two Armani silk shirts, and more all for under $100. This is the real deal.)

And we'll even help you prepare: For insider shopping tips, take notes from our interview last year with YWCA events coordinator Shauna Aron.

All sales benefit YWCA programs that help women find and maintain jobs by providing work- and interview-appropriate clothing, among other confidence-boosting services. If you've ever felt the energy of a good power suit, you know the value of a program like this.

Shoppers can also donate their own name-brand designer goods to the event and receive a buy-one-get-one coupon for VIP preview sale tickets. Two drop-off locations in Seattle and Redmond are currently accepting donations.

WHEN: Buy tickets for the preview sale held Friday, October 11 from 5 to 8 or line up to attend the public sale on Saturday, October 12 from 10 to 4
